I went for a bike ride this week.
First time in a year. A 14 mile journey ( clearly not doing anything by halves).
Well to say I was in agony at the end of it was an understatement. But do you know what. I felt alive. My body felt pumped. My body was relieved. That I had put it to good use.
Thank goodness for the yoga and mindfulness practice I’ve accrued over the last 4 years. I was able to switch out the pain during the journey and focus my attention. What a relief.
A welcome relief.
You see when you develop a mindset toolbox you think about things differently. You are able to find relief knowing what need to get you through a moment.
This weeks artwork is called relief.
Relief – because when the stress starts flowing – that’s how I’m able to get mine.
Relief is a state.
I love the word softening. It reminds me of what one of my yoga teachers used to constantly say.
When you find relief in whatever is causing you pain, anxiety or unrest it’s a huge weight off your shoulders.
So I guess this weeks question is can you use mindful art to find relief.
Building those mindful muscles are so important.
I’ll be sharing how you can do this with me very soon.
